HEALTH AND SANITATION
Join the CVN's unconditional fight against in-health, communicable diseases and cancer, HIV/AIDS etc.
The Health systems and status of the people’s especially those who live over the coastal and forest fringe villages of Eastern Ghats is so poor that they are subdued to many epidemics, ill health, seasonal diseases, malnutrition, child and maternal mortality and non- access to affordable and quality health care. Basic health care, health-hygiene and sanitary education are also very low among the urban and rural lives. In this context, a proper health education, services and awareness creation and capacity building is inevitable. Distributing few tablets medicines in times of epidemics and rainy season can do nothing to improve the health and sanitary standards of the people. CVN conducts orientation and awareness on family planning, institutional deliveries, ante–post–neo natal care, health & hygiene, nutritious values for mother & child vasectomy etc... And most importantly it provides inpatient services to urban and rural people at its own center at Nellore.
Few of our regular activities and programmes:
Awareness Creation meetings are organized on a regular basis for the CVN formed Youth Groups (both boys and girls) on the wake of the seasonal diseases like Chickun Gunea, Typhoid, H1N1 and other types of fevers etc. to give health education, HIV/AIDS awareness and to mobilize their convergence for health initiatives etc.
General Health Camps: Organizing GHCs, the patients are checked up. Medical officers from Lotus Hospital and PHC consult the patients and prescribe medicines and distributed medicine / tablets to the patients.
Conducting focused and resourceful seminars, public meetings, workshops for school children, common public, university/college men & women, Health Staff, CBOs, NGOs, RRC level etc. and supply personal hygienic, healthy drink, nutrition items, materials, soaps, foods, tooth brushes, shampoo, pads, napkins, biscuits, medicines and such very needy items to make them to inure and habituate such health habits,
